Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Vibo (“Vibo”, “we”, “us”) is designed to be privacy-friendly. Almost everything you do in the Vibo app (the “App”), your answers during onboarding and your learning progress, is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers. We do not operate user accounts, and we do not sell your data. Vibo is operated by Victor Fornet (France).

The only data that leaves your device is what is strictly required to process your subscription (handled by Apple and RevenueCat) and to respond if you contact our support by email.

2. Information we process

a) Information stored only on your device

Information you provide and generate stays locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:

  • Onboarding answers, e.g. your first name, goals and motivation, experience level, tools you have used, learning preferences, and chosen reminder time.
  • Learning progress, XP, streaks, completed lessons, hearts, daily goals.
  • App preferences, notification settings and reminder time.

You can erase all of this at any time using “Delete my data”in the App's profile screen, or by deleting the App.

b) Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase Vibo Pro, your payment is processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never receive or store your payment card details. To manage entitlements and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous app-user identifier (no name or email), your purchase history and subscription status, and basic technical/device information from the platform. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

c) Notifications

If you opt in, the App schedules local reminder notifications on your device. You can revoke the notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

d) Support communications

If you email vibo.support@gmail.com(e.g. via the in-app “Help & feedback” screen), we receive your email address and message, plus any technical details you choose to include in a bug report. We use this only to respond to you.

e) Remote learning content

To keep the “News” section current, the App periodically downloads a public content file from our hosting provider. This is a one-way download of content that is the same for every user, no personal data, identifiers, or usage information is sent in this request.

f) No third-party AI services

Vibo is an educational app that teaches you how to build with AI tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex. The lessons, demos and examples that mention these tools are instructional content only. The App does not send any of your personal data, or any data at all, to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other third-party AI service, and it contains no chat, prompt, or content-generation feature that transmits your input to an AI provider. No AI provider receives data from the App.

3. How we use information

  • Provide the App's core functionality (lessons, progress, reminders), on your device;
  • Provide and manage your subscription and restore purchases;
  • Respond to your support requests;
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of the App.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do nottrack you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Legal bases (GDPR / EEA users)

  • Performance of a contract, to provide the App and your subscription (Art. 6(1)(b));
  • Legitimate interests, to keep the App secure and functioning (Art. 6(1)(f));
  • Consent, for notifications, withdrawable at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).

The data controller is Victor Fornet (France). Contact: vibo.support@gmail.com.

5. Sharing

We share information only with the providers that make the App work: Apple (distribution and payments) and RevenueCat (subscription management, anonymous identifier and purchase status). We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.

6. Data retention

  • On-device datais kept until you delete it via “Delete my data” or uninstall the App.
  • Subscription data is retained by Apple and RevenueCat per their policies.
  • Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because most data lives only on your device, you can delete it directly via “Delete my data” or by uninstalling the App. For requests concerning subscription data, contact vibo.support@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

8. Children

Vibo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

9. Security

We rely on the security of your device and of our providers (Apple, RevenueCat). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. International transfers

Our providers (Apple, RevenueCat) may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards described in their privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will update the “Last updated” date above.
